Facebook post scheduler for Pages, Reels, and Stories

PostQuest is a Facebook post scheduler for Facebook Pages. You write a post once, choose Post, Reel, or Story, and pick a time on the calendar. Before the post is scheduled, PostQuest checks the caption and every file against Meta’s publishing limits, so it doesn’t fail at publish time.

It suits people who post to a Page alongside LinkedIn, X, Instagram, or TikTok and want one calendar for all of them. If Facebook and Instagram are your only networks, Meta’s free Business Suite may be all you need; the comparison below shows where each one fits.

Which Facebook accounts can you connect?

PostQuest publishes to Facebook Pages through Meta’s Pages API. Personal profiles and Facebook Groups can’t be connected, because Meta’s API doesn’t let third-party apps publish to them.

  • Connect with a Facebook login that has full control of the Page or content permission for it.
  • You can connect several Pages; each one counts as one account on your plan.
  • If your Page role changes or Meta revokes access, the account shows Reconnect. Failed posts can be retried once it is reconnected.

How to schedule Facebook posts in PostQuest

  1. Step 1: Connect your Facebook Page

Open Connections, choose Facebook, and sign in with an account that manages the Page. Pick the Pages you want PostQuest to post to.

  2. Step 2: Pick the Page and the format

In the composer, select the Page under “Where should this go?”. Choose Post, Reel, or Story above the media area; the caption counter switches to Facebook’s 5,000-character limit.

PostQuest composer with the PostQuest Facebook Page selected, Post, Reel, and Story options, and a caption counted against the 5,000-character limit
  3. Step 3: Add media and write the caption

Upload a photo, up to ten photos for a carousel, a GIF, or a video. If you selected other networks too, edit any of their captions; the first post you edit becomes the source, and the rest follow it until you change them.

  4. Step 4: Check the requirements

Open Media requirements to see the Facebook limits PostQuest checks: formats, file sizes, carousel counts, and video lengths for each post type.

PostQuest Platform Guidelines dialog listing Facebook media requirements for image, carousel, GIF, video, Reel, and story posts
  5. Step 5: Choose a time and schedule

Pick a date and time in your workspace time zone and click Schedule. If the post is still pending approval, it waits until someone approves it, then publishes at that time.

Schedule Facebook posts from Claude or ChatGPT

Connect PostQuest to Claude or ChatGPT over MCP and ask for posts in plain language. The assistant creates drafts by default; scheduling, publishing, and deleting need your explicit approval.

“List my connected accounts, then draft a Facebook post for the PostQuest Page announcing Friday’s webinar. Keep it under 500 characters and leave it as a draft.”
The assistant checks which Pages are connected, creates a draft for the right Page, and links you to it in PostQuest.
“Turn this blog post into a Facebook link post and a shorter X post, then validate both.”
You get two drafts with network-specific captions and a list of anything that breaks a limit.
“Schedule the approved Facebook draft for Thursday at 9 a.m. New York time.”
The assistant asks you to confirm before it schedules. Nothing is scheduled without your approval.

Why a Facebook post fails, and how to fix it

PostQuest catches these before scheduling, so you fix them in the composer instead of finding a failed post later.

A WebP image in a photo post or carousel
Facebook photo posts accept JPEG and PNG files. Export the image as JPEG or PNG, up to 10 MB.
More than ten photos
A Facebook carousel takes two to ten photos. Split larger sets into two posts.
A Story with no media
Photo and video Stories need exactly one file. Add a photo or a video, or switch the format back to Post.
A video shorter than three seconds
Facebook video posts and Reels need at least three seconds of footage. Export a longer clip.
The Page needs reconnecting
If a Page role changed or Meta revoked access, reconnect the Page in Connections, then retry the failed post. Other networks in the same post are not affected.

Facebook scheduler FAQ

Can I schedule posts to a personal Facebook profile?

No. Meta’s API only lets third-party tools publish to Facebook Pages, so PostQuest can’t post to personal profiles. You can schedule profile posts on Facebook itself, or move your public content to a Page and schedule it from PostQuest.

Can PostQuest post to Facebook Groups?

No. PostQuest publishes to Pages only. Meta Business Suite can post to Groups you manage, so use it for Group posts and PostQuest for your Pages and other networks.

Is there a free Facebook post scheduler?

Yes. Meta Business Suite is free and schedules posts, Reels, and Stories to Facebook Pages and Instagram. PostQuest has a seven-day free trial but no free plan; it is built for scheduling Facebook alongside other networks.

Can I schedule Facebook Reels and Stories?

Yes. Choose Reel or Story in the composer before you add media. Reels take one video; Stories take one photo or one video. PostQuest checks the file against Facebook’s limits before the post is scheduled.

Can Claude or ChatGPT schedule Facebook posts for me?

Yes, once you connect PostQuest to Claude or ChatGPT over MCP. The assistant can list your Pages, draft posts, and validate them. Scheduling, publishing, or deleting needs your explicit approval in the conversation.
